Ocaso is a surf-inspired digital experience shaped through original event footage, motion, and a responsive visual system. Rooted in movement, atmosphere, and coastal freedom, the project translates real moments into an immersive narrative across web, video, and print.
Shaping the Atmosphere
Ocaso was created as an invitation into a shared experience grounded in surf culture, while remaining open to a broader community drawn to nature, flow, joy, and human connection. The goal was to build a visual world that felt immersive and emotionally resonant—capturing both the raw energy of the coast and the warmth of collective experience.
Creative Direction
The creative direction centered on translating Ocaso’s free-spirited atmosphere into a visual language that felt cinematic, minimal, and intentional. Guided by original footage and the rhythm of the event itself, the identity was shaped through restrained color, strong typography, immersive motion, and a minimal UI that allowed the imagery to lead.

Post Card Series
The project aimed to inform and invite not only the surf community, but also a wider audience seeking a meaningful experience shaped by nature, freedom, and connection. The intention was to create an atmosphere that felt open, vibrant, and inclusive—where movement, emotion, and new human connections could naturally unfold.
Built from Real Footage
The creative direction balanced a sense of spontaneity with a minimal and intentional interface. Drawing from the textures of the beach, the glow of sunset, and the energy of shared moments, the visual system was built to feel both atmospheric and clear. A restrained color palette, strong typographic presence, and spacious compositions allowed the imagery to carry the emotional weight of the experience.
Built from original photography and video captured on-site, the project transforms real footage into a cohesive digital experience. Moments of light, motion, landscape, and community became the foundation of the visual narrative, all
Designed in Motion
The website was designed as an extension of the event itself—immersive, fluid, and emotionally driven. A minimal UI helped reduce distraction and keep the focus on atmosphere, while responsive layouts ensured the experience remained cohesive across desktop and mobile. The result was a digital environment that felt visually expressive while still maintaining clarity and ease of navigation.
Across Every Screen
Designed as a moving experience, the website uses video, pacing, and imagery to translate Ocaso’s atmosphere across screen sizes. The responsive system preserves the rhythm and emotional quality of the content from desktop to mobile, allowing the experience to remain immersive, fluid, and visually coherent in motion.

One Visual System
Across the website, digital invite, and poster, the identity was developed as one connected visual system. Typography, motion, image treatment, and color worked together to create continuity across formats, allowing each touchpoint to feel distinct while still belonging to the same world.
The poster & postcards extends the digital language into a static format, using bold composition, restrained color, and surf imagery to communicate both information and mood. Rather than functioning only as a promotional asset, it acts as another expression of the project’s atmosphere and identity.
