Bonjour, I'm Karen Gonzalez
I design digital experiences and audiovisual work with the same intention: clarity, atmosphere, and emotional precision.
My process begins with listening. Before aesthetics, I look for the underlying shape of the project.
What is it trying to communicate? What does the audience need to understand, feel, or do? What is unnecessary? What gives it life?
Aligning concept, structure, pacing, and tone so the work feels intentional from beginning to end. I care deeply about refinement, but not perfection for its own sake. I care about resonance: work that feels honest, usable, and memorable.
Passion + Creativity
I’m drawn to projects that need more than polish. Projects that need tone. Rhythm. Restraint. A point of view.
I don’t see these as separate worlds. UX has rhythm. Editing has structure. Sound has architecture. The medium changes — the care stays the same.
My work moves between interface and atmosphere, between systems and feeling. Whether I’m designing a user flow, editing a film, shaping motion, or composing sound, I’m guided by the same intention: clarity with presence.

Who I Work With
I work best with people who value thoughtful craft and a strong point of view: artists, creators, interview-based channels, small studios, and emerging brands — as well as teams who need clearer, more human digital experiences.
Some projects arrive with a clear brief. Others begin as fragments — an idea, a feeling, a direction not yet fully formed. I welcome both.
What You Can Expect
A collaborative process grounded in listening, clarity, and refinement. I bring a balance of:
Strategic thinking Visual and sonic sensitivity Hands-on execution Respect for tone, audience, and constraints
If your project needs structure, atmosphere, or a more coherent language across what it says and how it feels, we may be a good fit.
A Note on the Work
Creative Cloister is also a reflection of my wider artistic practice. My work in music, sound, and mixed media continues to shape how I approach design: with attention to silence, pacing, texture, and emotional precision. That cross-disciplinary lens is not an add-on — it is part of the foundation. I’m interested in work that invites attention. Work that leaves room to breathe. Work that is clear — and still alive.
