Ashley Furniture – Growth Mindset

Motion + Video
ASHLEY FURNITURE — GROWTH MINDSET
A MOTION PIECE CREATED FOR ASHLEY FURNITURE’S CONFERENCE ENVIRONMENT.

Rather than illustrate the book literally, the piece focuses on translating its energy: learning as movement, repetition as growth, and challenge as momentum.

Text, texture, and pacing work together to create a visual language that feels both cerebral and kinetic — designed to resonate in a conference setting where clarity and impact need to happen fast.

Visual Language

The visual direction balances bold graphic reduction with tactile imperfection. High-contrast typography, textured surfaces, and rhythmic cuts give the piece an editorial sensibility while keeping the message legible, dynamic, and emotionally charged.

Approach

Designed for a conference environment, the piece needed to communicate quickly and hold attention at scale. Decisions around contrast, motion, pacing, and typography were shaped to create immediacy, clarity, and a stronger on-screen presence.

Additional Conference Visuals

As part of the broader conference environment, I also developed speaker visuals for Inky Johnson and Jocko Willink — each shaped through its own tonal direction while remaining aligned with the larger event language.

JOCKO WILLINK

A cinematic speaker visual for Jocko Willink’s talk, shaped through motion graphics, editing, sound, and music to convey intensity, discipline, and command.

INKY JOHNSON

A speaker visual created for Inky Johnson’s conference talk, combining motion graphics, editing, sound, and music into a cinematic introduction shaped by clarity, rhythm, and presence.
